Digital Transformation

School District 22 believes in harnessing the power of digital learning through integration.  In short, we support a culture that focuses on leveraging technology in meaningful ways to deepen student learning.  This allows students to develop ever- evolving technological skills designed to help them to think critically and creatively while collaborating and communicating their ideas.  With technology, we want students and staff to move from consumption to creation with a focus on digital citizenship and wellness skills necessary to live effectively and safely in a digital world.

Spotlight : EarSketch

Picture
EarSketch is a free educational programming environment. Its core purpose is to teach coding in two widely used languages, Python and JavaScript, through music composing and remixing.

EarSketch is web-based, which means users can access it with their web-browsers, and with no installation. No account is required to create projects or view existing projects.

EarSketch comprises different elements: a curriculum, a digital audio workstation (or DAW), a code editor and console, and a sound browser. EarSketch's sound library was created by Young Guru, Jay Z's sound engineer, and famous sound designer Richard Devine.
