Numeracy Assessment

SD#22 Numeracy Screeners
Grade 5 Numeracy Screener Documents
Grade 6 Numeracy Screener Documents
Supporting Activities
SD#22 Numeracy Screeners are locally developed by Vernon teachers with the purpose of providing checkpoints of math concepts that are foundational across the progression of math learning and curriculum.
The screener tasks help to uncover misconceptions and provide insight into student understanding.  The individual diagnostic tasks can be given to students before, during and/or after concepts are taught as they help to inform instruction throughout the school year.  They are intended as a tool to identify and address next steps for students, groups of students, a whole class/cohort as well as to help with creating school and district goals.  The formative data acquired from the screeners can be entered into EdPlan Insight (information below).
