Read&Write and Google Drive
,One of the most common use cases for Read&Write in SD22 is to read PDFs aloud. For this to work, however, the PDFs have to have been made "accessible".
Broadly, PDFs that have been generated on a computer by exporting from some sort of text authoring software (i.e. Microsoft Word) will be "accessible" by default. As will PDFs that have been downloaded from resource sites like ARC-BC. PDFs that have been generated by scanning physical documents will not be "accessible", however.
Once you have "accessible" PDFs, you can upload them to Google Drive, share them with your students, and have them use the workflow depicted in the following video to read the PDFs aloud :
