Software & Digital Tools

There are many documented benefits of using technology in the classroom. Technology can be used to enhance and support learning by assisting with the personalization, capturing, and communication of learning, increasing a teacher's ability to provide feedback and support, adjusting the pace of learning, engaging and motivating students, increasing the array of resources available to students, as well as providing students with the necessary workplace skills they need to be successful. 

Before using any digital tools with students, you must have the appropriate consent forms signed and be aware of any privacy and security issues as they relate to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act (FOIPPA). It is your responsibility to follow all necessary steps to keep our students and their data safe online.  Check out our Digital Citizenship & Safety page to learn more and access the consent forms.  

Approved Software

We can use all types of software including Web Tools, Chrome Extensions, Apps, and Add-ons to help our engage students and enhance their learning. To see what is currently approved for use in SD22, review the master list here:

Request New Software & Privacy Impact Assessment

To request the installation of new software on district devices, please complete the following form. This form will also take you through the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) if the software you are requesting is not currently approved. You can complete the embedded form below (must be logged in to O365) or follow this link.
