Middle Years Day

Font Size: A+ A- Reset

We organized our first annual  Middle Years Day students on April 18th, 2023.  The Learning Department will be hosting this day every year as we try to gather information from students on how to best support the needs of our Middle Years learners as well as offer an opportunity for sharing their voice. The goal of these days are to listen to the voices of student representatives about their school experiences and for our students to connect. The day consists of food, team building, connecting exploring identity, hands on activities, lots of food and fun as well as expressing ideas, and opinions. The planning committee puts together the experiences that reflect a theme. The students come to the school board office and interact with each other, teachers and district staff and participate in a series of activities. The teacher chaperones participate in the same activities as the students.
